Abe and Lucy and I went with grandpa up to his cabin, and took Lucy fishing for the first time. She loved it, as long as she was catching fish. Luckily she was the only one catching anything. She caught two and the rest of us had few bites but that was about it. We took one them back to the cabin and pan fried it and the kids loved it.

Pumpkin Picking

I told you it would be a long time in between posts and then they would come all at once. On Monday we went to the pumpkin farm and let the kids pick out some pumpkins to carve. They had a blast wandering through the vines and trying to find the perfect pumpkin. Mostly it was just ones that were small enough for them to carry. We love this time of year.

Hiking the Grotto

Hello Everybody!

We went on a hike this last week to the grotto waterfall in payson canyon. It was kind of sad because the kids kept saying things like 'this is so fun we should do it more often'. I guess we need to get into the great outdoors more. Does hanging out in a cabin count? Anyway as usual we have more pics of our kids. Notice the sweet eyeshadow on Lucy and Jude.(he had a little help from his sister with that one) It rained all night and morning before we went so they were all muddy. Especially Jude who liked to crawl on all the logs and walk in the creek.

Changes

As you can see, I haven't excactly been on top of keeping the blog up-to-date. It will probably be a few weeks in between posts. But that shouldn't stop anyone from checking back everyday, just to see our smiling faces. Anyway, i've decided to post cute or interesting pictures on the sidebar. Jude's 2nd Birthday

Jude turned two. We had a birthday party on the 9Th, that also coincided with Salem City Days. Just about everybody we are related to were there. We rented a snowcone machine and finished the night with fireworks in the rain, mingled with lightning. It was spectacular.

Abe's Tooth

Yes, it finally happened. Abe lost his first tooth. He has been waiting forever to lose a tooth, being one of the few in his kindergarten class not to lose one by the end of the year. I wish i had a picture of his face when I first pulled it out, because it was a mix of shock and awe, mingled with excitement and surprise. (and any other adjective you want to throw in there) But I guess this one will have to do.

Alaska

Well, just got back from Alaska. Ok so it's been almost 2 weeks. It was a blast and we caught a few fish. (yes the 2 biggest ones are mine) I also learned a few things, like tips spelled backwards is spit. (It was on a sign on the Homer spit) Don't mess with the local wildlife(if you squint it almost looks like a real bear) , and any fish with a saddle must be mounted.

Just got back from Newport. Here are a few shots from the beach. We had a blast. (Who is the bald guy in the middle? Must have been some random surfer.)

Abe Soarin

It's not a great video, but if you could only see the look on his face. They asked him to scream as loud as he could, and that helped him to let out the fear.
